Single or Double Handed Tuition
Single or Double Handed Tuition for overhead or Spey Casts.
Casting tuition will be given by Jonathan and comprise of a 4 hour or 7 hour session.
All levels of ability can be catered for from beginner to advanced.
For beginners we will cover safety aspects, wading, equipment and environmental factors before moving on to the set up and basic casting techniques and how to read the water.
We will start with the roll cast before moving on to either the double spey or circle cast (wind depending).
For intermediate/advance we will look at more advanced casts, single spey, snake roll, silent cast, combination casts and using sunk lines.
Prices
£95 per half day (4 hours) Maximum 2 people
£185 per full day (7 hours – 10.00am – 5.00pm)
*All tuition prices include a day ticket for one person and use of any required tackle. Additional tickets cost £50.00
A homemade riverside picnic can be provided at £15 for one person or £12 per person for two or more. A week’s notice is required for this service.
Recommended Tackle
Please bring appropriate tackle if you have any. If not it can be supplied at no extra cost.
For tuition hooks will be replaced by wool for safety purposes.
Safety
We endeavour to reduce any risk of harm, but accidents can happen. To help reduce any risk please inform me of any relevant medical conditions or medication that you may need et: Epi-pen. To help reduce risk further please bring the following safety items if available. If not, inform me and it can be supplied at no extra cost:
Cap
Wet weather gear
Change of clothes
Polarised sun glasses
Wading staff
Automatic life vest
Studded wading boots
Any medication
Lunch if required
Terms and Conditions
A £50 non-refundable deposit is payable per person to cover fishing permits. There is no wash off policy available on any of the beats that are used. The non-refundable deposit will be used to cover the cost of the permits only.
If conditions are not suitable for fishing or circumstances do not allow you to attend, we will try and find an alternative river/reschedule or use the time for tuition instead of fishing.
